What Is Happening?
After careful evaluation, Empowerkit will be officially discontinued. The final shutdown of all products and services is scheduled for January 15th, 2026.
We understand that your website is an important tool for your business, and we aim to provide guidance to help you prepare for a smooth transition to a new platform before this date.
When?
- August 18th, 2025: On this date, Empowerkit will also no longer accept new website signups. Also, as of this day, account reactivations or account upgrades won’t be available.
- August 26th, 2025: Official communication via email and website will be available for all customers announcing the platform sunset.
- September 1st, 2025: Resource page goes live on our website.
- January 15th, 2026: Empowerkit Platform Shuts Down. Your Empowerkit website and its administrative access will no longer be available from this date. For your online presence to stay uninterrupted, your new website should be fully operational before this day.

About my Empowerkit Website
This section talks about the availability, continuity, and functionality of the EmpowerKit website starting on the date of the announcement.
1. Why can’t I sign up for a new Empowerkit Website?
Effective August 18, 2025, new sign-ups for Empowerkit websites were discontinued as part of the planned Empowerkit sunsetting process. Existing websites will remain operational until January 15, 2026, at which point Empowerkit will shut down.
2. How can I access my site?
If your plan includes editor access, you can still log into your Empowerkit to update, manage, and operate your website as usual until January 15, 2026. You can find guides to manage your Empowerkit site in our Knowledge Base:
3. What’s going to happen with my site when Empowerkit shuts down?
From January 15th, 2026, all websites are scheduled to be shut down, rendering them inaccessible to both customers and administrators. To avoid any interruption in your online presence, it is advisable to have a new website operational prior to this date.
Furthermore, as of this date, your editor, along with all associated files, content, and form leads, will no longer be available. Please ensure all data is transferred and backed up before the aforementioned deadline.
4. Are we storing leads from forms?
No. After January 15, 2026 we won’t be storing any of your leads. Please ensure all data is transferred and backed up before the aforementioned deadline.
5. Can we migrate the site to another platform? Can I take the site with me?
Since Empowerkit operates on proprietary software, most website design elements cannot be directly copied or migrated to another service or platform. We are not aware of a reliable method to export the visual design of an Empowerkit site.
While we will use reasonable efforts to provide helpful guidance, outcomes may vary depending on each customer’s specific setup, account access, and third-party service requirements. We cannot guarantee that all steps will be applicable or successful, and some processes may require additional work by the customer or their new provider.
About My Hired Services and Content
This section refers to services included within your Empowerkit Subscription, hired as an additional add-on service, or granted as part of a promotion.
1. Will I still get extra services (blog posts, social media posts, etc) from Empowerkit during this period?
Effective August 18th, 2025, new subscriptions are no longer available. This policy also extends to the acquisition of new add-on services for existing subscriptions. Only those services currently incorporated into subscription plans or previously secured as add-ons will continue to be honored.
Consulting, management, and content services, whether integrated into your subscription plan or acquired as an add-on, will be maintained until the final day of service or until cancellation. This encompasses: website updates, analytics reports, blog posts, social media posts, Google My Business posts, product pages, and landing pages.
Content services obtained through promotional offers or service trade-ins will be discontinued as of September 1st, 2025.

2. Can I keep my content? E.g. Blog posts, landing pages, etc.
Yes, all content remains your property and you can keep it and use it as you wish. However, since Empowerkit operates on proprietary software, most elements cannot be directly copied or migrated to another service or platform. We are not aware of a reliable method to export the visual design of an Empowerkit site.

3. What’s going to happen with my domain?
If you have your own domain without an SSL Certificate through Empowerkit, you can reassert control of it by editing the DNS on your domain provider’s website. YInstructions for this process should be available in the support section of your domain provider.
Should you possess a top-level domain and utilize our SSH Certificate service, you may reassert control over your nameservers by adhering to the instructions provided in this guide.
If you are currently utilizing an assigned subdomain, please ensure you remain attentive to all communications from your business’s IT department or management, as they will determine the procedure for retaining this subdomain.
About My Website Properties
Website Properties refer to the assets created or managed along with the website that are property of the customer and are intangible assets of their company, like Google Analytics properties, Google Tag Manager instances, and Google My Business or Bing business listings for search engines.
1. How can I get my Google Analytics data? Can you transfer the property?
If you have a Google Analytics property under our management, kindly reach out to our support team via our support desk. Support will be provided on a reasonable efforts basis to help transfer your data and Google Analytics property back to you.
2. How can I get my Google My Business and Bing listings? Can you transfer them?
If you have a business listing property under our management (Google My Business, Bing, etc.), kindly reach out to our support team via our support desk. Support will be provided on a reasonable efforts basis to help transfer your data and Google My Business and Bing listings back to you.
Managing My Empowerkit Account
This section refers to actions and changes customers can make to their Empowerkit Subscription during this process.
1. Can I downgrade my service during this period?
During the transition period, you may request adjustments to your service as long as it remains within the same billing cycle. Please note that modifications to an annually-billed plan are not permitted. If you have any inquiries about your services, our support team is ready to assist you via our support desk.
2. Can I cancel my site before the final service date?
Yes. You may cancel your website at any time. Please be aware that once a cancellation has been processed, it cannot be reversed.
